Matilda the musical for £5!

I just wanted to right about my experience about going to see Matilda the musical in London over the summer holidays. I had really wanted to see Matilda the musical for ages now but haven't had time to go, so when we visited London in the summer holidays me and sister decided to try and queue on the morning of the show to see of we could get any of the 16-25 year old tickets for £5. We didn't know what to expect as we didn't know how early we would have to get to the theater so we just took it by chance. We went on a Wednesday morning and arrived at 8:00 two hours before the box office opened, also we had twice the chance of getting tickets as there was a morning and matinee show, when we arrived in the morning we found out there were 14 tickets for each show, even though the website says they put aside 5 and we brought a coffee form cafe Nero opposite and spent two hours watching a film on my tablet, and then simple we had tickets to Matilda for £5. The tickets were right at the top and weren't perfect, but i didn't really mind as i had brought them on the day. So if you get a chance to do this i would really recommend it as it is great fun and a lot easier than i expected.

Summer Reading

So now the summers over i thought i would share some of the books i have read with you from over the summer and also show you some books i got for my birthday and look forward to reading.
One of my favorite books i have read over the holiday is 'About a Boy' by Nick Hornby, i had seen the film and really enjoyed it so took the book on holiday with me to read. Sometimes films let you down on books, but i really enjoyed this film and so was really looking forward to the book. Nick Hornby has created these characters extremely well and they are all so lovable, and the book is a pleasure read with all the characters lives slowly improving. This is a book i would definitely read again and because of this i have also brought 'How to be good' and 'a long way down' also by Nick Hornby.
Another book recently with a film brought out by it is 'One Day' by David Nicholls i really enjoyed this book as it is so cleverly written and the characters in this are also really great. The film for this book was really disappointing however, because i felt you wouldn't understand the film if you hadn't of read the book, so it was just a reflection on some aspects of the book which didn't seem worthwhile watching, which was slightly disappointing as i was really looking forward to watching the film
A book recommended, and lent to me this holiday was 'The Rosie project' by Graeme Simsion and this book s a lighthearted book that was sooo much better than its description and i really enjoyed it, it was like nothing i had ever read before and was such a funny happy book.
Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of these books because they have either been lent to me by friends or i have lent them to other people so here is a picture of my hope to reads in the future and you never know you may see some comments about them at some point.
Sorry i haven't posted in a while Laura

Chocolate Tea Cakes (a kinda pointless blog post, sorry)

Hello, sorry i have been away for so long i have been doing lots of schoolwork for my GCCE's,  I also lost my camera so the blog post i planned to do on chocolate tea cakes never appeared. However three months later we have now found my camera (dad had forgotten he had borrowed it,  it was in his bag).
So, means it was so long ago i made them, i cant actually remember what recipe we used so i thought i would just show you the photos we took as it shows you the steps we took.enjoy, hopefully more posts in the future will be less of a fail!

Wreck this journal at the seaside!

This weekend we took a trip down to norfolk, and as I had a break I thought it would be a great time to comleate , some of my wreck this journal.
Now this meant it ended up in the sea and now is appearing more 'wrecked than ever'.

Another thing that happens when your family all gets together is they want to join in too. Now my sister took this a little to the extreme,  and ended up chewing it. Yum!
Hope to you are all having lovely holidays too, hopefully I will write about a choclate teacake experience soon, when I have found my camera with the photos on.

Some happy music, in the sun

Yay its the Easter holidays and hopefully more blogs on the way. This is what happens when me and my sister have some free time, and the sun comes out. Simon and Garfunkel's 'Feeling Groovy'.

The Fault In Our Stars

Sorry I havent written anything in a while this is the first book I have read since Christmas because l haven't really had much time, but I knew I had to read it because everyone kept telling me what an amazing book this is.
And now I understand what they meant. I was really gripped with this book, it's the type that you pick up one evening and can't put down untill finished. I do believe John green is a genius and I will read More of his books. This is the first 'cancer book' l have read (I do know that in the book it does say it is not a cancer book, but what other category do I put it in?) l wasn't sure about this aspect as I don't really read sad books I prefer happyish books, but this really is a happy book there are define thy more happy moments than Sad Moments, but this is what makes the sad moments so sad. The story line is really gripping with lots at twists and turns yet so easy to follow and read, which is good for me because I hate reading difficult books. l can't describe the book and do it justice, the only way to experience it, is to read it
Im not sure what else to Say on this book apart from if you haven't read it, read it but I have really enjoyed this book, and l really hope the new film will do it justice.

I will try and write something a bit Sooner next time sorry.
