So now the summers over i thought i would share some of the books i have read with you from over the summer and also show you some books i got for my birthday and look forward to reading.
One of my favorite books i have read over the holiday is 'About a Boy' by Nick Hornby, i had seen the film and really enjoyed it so took the book on holiday with me to read. Sometimes films let you down on books, but i really enjoyed this film and so was really looking forward to the book. Nick Hornby has created these characters extremely well and they are all so lovable, and the book is a pleasure read with all the characters lives slowly improving. This is a book i would definitely read again and because of this i have also brought 'How to be good' and 'a long way down' also by Nick Hornby.
Another book recently with a film brought out by it is 'One Day' by David Nicholls i really enjoyed this book as it is so cleverly written and the characters in this are also really great. The film for this book was really disappointing however, because i felt you wouldn't understand the film if you hadn't of read the book, so it was just a reflection on some aspects of the book which didn't seem worthwhile watching, which was slightly disappointing as i was really looking forward to watching the film
A book recommended, and lent to me this holiday was 'The Rosie project' by Graeme Simsion and this book s a lighthearted book that was sooo much better than its description and i really enjoyed it, it was like nothing i had ever read before and was such a funny happy book.
Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of these books because they have either been lent to me by friends or i have lent them to other people so here is a picture of my hope to reads in the future and you never know you may see some comments about them at some point.
Sorry i haven't posted in a while Laura
